About Zach

Player, coach, recruiter — Zach Grant has built his career around college basketball from every angle.

Coach Zach Grant instructing a Mount Olive Trojan player on the court

Zach Grant's path through college basketball started at Barton College, where he played four years in NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas from 2015 to 2019. He finished with 567 points, 287 assists, and helped the Bulldogs win 79 games — ranking 2nd in program history for single-season three-point percentage, 10th in single-season assists, and 6th in games played.

After Barton, Zach coached at Lander University — first as a graduate assistant on the men's team, then as an assistant with the women's program. He was part of a Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship and a 23-8 season with the men, then helped the women's team go 20-2 and reach the program's first-ever NCAA Division II Final Four.

In 2022, Zach joined Mount Olive as head assistant coach and served as interim head coach during the 2023–2024 season before being named official head coach for 2024–2025. He holds a B.S. in Sport Management with a minor in Business from Barton and an M.Ed. from Lander.
